Desire, Determination & Discipline The foundations of a fit, healthy and active lifestyle. This pretty much encapsulates the principles we apply here at D3 Personal Training. From personal experience, I believe almost anyone can make a positive change in their lives from a physical well-being perspective if they are able to apply the principles of: Desire: The 'I want to change' stage. As you are reading this, you have probably reached that stage at the very least. you may have only just arrived here or maybe you have tried before but with little or no success. Not to worry, it's never too late maybe this is the time it all comes together. Determination: If the desire is there and unwavering, what then? You embark on the road to a fit, healthy and active lifestyle but find that it is not easy. Why would it be? This is where you may be tempted to give up. However, you need to show determination and stay the course. It does get easier, believe me. When living a fit, healthy and active life becomes the norm and not an exceptional thing to you, it will just become 'what you do'! Discipline: The discipline to resist the temptations to revert to choices that have led you to where you are now. Be that nutritional or activity based. It is all too easy to consume calorically rich foods and drinks which are nutritionally poor. In the face of all these factors, discipline will help you not only resist those temptations but also shore up the determination and desire that got you this far. So where do D3 Personal Training come into this? You bring the Desire with you. I will help with motivation, advise and practical help to back up your Determination. Together we will develop programs that encompass elements of Nutrition and Physical Activity that are varied, interesting and focused first and foremost on you getting fit and healthy and being able to sustain that lifestyle for the foreseeable future. To help you with the Discipline required to stay on track, I will make myself available to you for support and practical advise. I know from a personal standpoint that it can be done and more importantly, sustained. So, please take a little time to browse around the About Me sections. I think you will find this is more to me than just a business. Personal Training is not only my profession, it is, to me, a way of life. I practice what I preach and will not ask of a client anything I have not or do not undertake myself with relation to adopting and maintaining a Fit, Healthy and Active Lifestyle. |
